Earlier today, I got fined $150 on the bus with the reason of not bringing my student ID with me on the bus (I forgot bcs i put it into my pencil case for a test last time) but using tertiary student discount. It’s upsetting but I’d probably just accept it since it’s my bad but the thing is, I am not supposed to have a concession discount anymore since I am only taking 3 subjects this sem. I already checked beforehand on the app and it doesnt show im on concession but I was still getting charged student prices, assuming it’ll just deactivate soon. When I got fined, I was a bit confused why it was still on concession but assumed maybe I was still eligible for it and that’s why the university hasn’t terminated it so that’s why I didnt argue my case with the ATHOP officer. But I checked at home and it says I’m not eligible for it, hence i shouldn’t be on concession. I thought it was my responsibility for cancelling the concession on my own but it says the university will cancel it by itself. So, is the fine disputable in this case?
