I took a 3 month course of doxycycline 40 mg from August to end of October 2025. My dermatologist now wants to prescribe it again for 3 months. It has been approximately 6 months since I was last on it. Is it safe to take another 3 month course or is there a risk of antibiotic resistance? Any experience with long term low dose?
