Building an AI agent for Whop community ops — hit some API walls, need help from anyone who's dug into it

Hey I'm building an automation tool specifically for Whop community owners. Covers moderation, onboarding new members, engagement monitoring, and support. Basically an agent that watches your community and handles the repetitive ops work so you don't have to.

Done a solid amount of API research but hit a few gaps I can't confirm from docs alone. If anyone has built on the Whop API before, would appreciate answers to any of these:

  1. User evel mute/ban via API does it actually work?

Found mute user and ban user endpoints in the SDK but they 404 in production. Channel level moderation settings work fine, but I need to target specific users. Anyone confirmed this works, or is it UI only right now?

  1. Rate limits does anyone know what they actually are?

Whop doesn't publish rate limits anywhere in their docs. My use case requires polling chat messages every few seconds across multiple channels. Has anyone hit a wall doing this? What intervals are you using safely?

  1. Chat message webhooks are they available anywhere?

Docs only show membership/payment webhooks in production. Found a reference to chat webhooks in the v5 dev-staging API but nothing confirmed live. Anyone have access to message-level push events, or is polling the only option?

  1. Whop App Store review process is there one?

Permissions approval flow is documented but is there an actual review gate before your app goes live in the store? How long did it take you?

Not looking for business feedback, just technical clarity. If you've shipped something on the Whop API and ran into any of these, drop a comment.

How do yall manage big Communities?

This a Question for those who Have huge and growing communities or even those who want to start one. My Question is how do you manage it? How do yall manage the on boarding? The moderation? The bans? The engagement? And most importantly? How do yall keep the community alive and stop it from slowly dying out?

Note guys its my first time ever EVER building something. I finally got opencode go subscription last night and the first thing i thought is i need a Dashboard to manage multiple sessions and skills , plugins and to manage agents and projects. So i went to cloude and told it what i wanna make and need. It wrote the full spec for me and i pasted it into opencode..im using deepseek v4 pro at Max and so far its great. I started this last night around 1am and stopped at 5am to sleep. And now its 4pm and im still building it out. So far i have used 10 percent of my monthly quota and 20 percent of my weekly and 19 percent of my 5 hour role window. That monthly window is growing slowly haha..
