Impact of Refused Entry and ETA cancellation on Spouse Visa Application (Canadian)
Hi All,
I have scrolled through this sub but I haven't found anything relating to my specific case.
My wife (Married 2 years this month) is Canadian and she was refused entry to the UK and had her ETA cancelled.
Some context:
- She has stayed 17 out of the last 23 months in the UK, but no longer than 6 months at one time.
- She got an ETA in Jan 2025. (Now cancelled).
- I have received a response to our Specific Subject Access Request, which includes all her entry/exits to/from the UK, as well as the minute sheet and notes while she was questioned prior to refusal.
- Throughout this period she maintained her Canadian address and bank account - no UK accounts and I financially provide for her (Meeting the income requirements).
My questions are:
- What is the likely impact of her immigration history on a spouse visa application?
- How should the cover letter address the extended visits?
