edit: for god sake pls answer my question instead of giving me some grandfather story

When the other person tell me this, am i supposed to assume they only just want a penpal or what? even if they specifically told me they are interested in me, want to continue talking to me to know me better and also initiating conversations and reciprocating efforts.

On the receiving end, am i suppose to schedule a meet up soon or what? Also what do they mean when a Gen Z guy or girl says this?
