I was not driving the vehicle when this happened so I cant even swear to exactly what happened. I was told this is what happened by my roommate who was driving home from work, less than 2 minutes into the trip when the automatic transmission began to spin free. Unable to get it to engage again she called in a panic. By the time I got there the engine had also died. I could not get it to start and had it towed home.
What Ive tried
Starter fluid fires it up everytime. So its not getting gas. Checking the C10 terminals that attach the harness to the fuel pump I get only 5 volts between pin 1-2 and 2-3 and 2-5. Zero every other combination.
I meausre 1.0-1.6 ohms between pins 4-5.
Jumping at the diagnostic port between B+ and Fp still gives me no volts at the pump but Im not sure my Fp even has a pin in it.
Next I ran power from the accessory plug in the back to the pump checking that when I turned the key i get 13 volts at the wire ends. Maybe my connection to the pump terminals is janky but this also had no effect.
I am frustrated at this point and dont know what to try next. If straight wiring the pump did nothing then there is no other point of failure I can think of that trumps that. Unless Im just not getting a good connection with straight from the battery jumper.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
