Looking for a part-time job.

I’m a 2nd year medical university student in Sicily, looking for legitimate part-time remote work that can be done in English.

My constraints:

  • Must be remote
  • Flexible hours (I’m studying full-time)
  • Part-time/freelance / project-based preferred
  • Looking for legitimate platforms only (no MLMs, commission-only sales, or sketchy “pay to start” sites)

My experience:

Private tutoring (4 years)
Tutored students while managing my own studies. Helped students improve academically through one-on-one support.

Transcription work
Transcribed audio recordings with timestamps for an organisation (can’t share samples due to confidentiality).

Administrative / office support (1 year)
Experience with:

  • Professional email writing
  • Excel / petty cash tracking
  • Inventory counting and management

Public speaking/hosting (7 years)
Extensive experience in speaking, presenting, and compering events throughout school.

Other strengths:

  • Fast learner
  • Strong written English
  • Detail-oriented
  • Reliable and highly motivated

I’m also interested in audiobook narration/voice work, but I currently don’t have the equipment to start professionally.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for:

  1. Legit websites/platforms
  2. Job titles I should search for
  3. Beginner-friendly remote work that actually pays

If you’ve personally used a platform or know someone who has, please mention it. I’m only looking for serious recommendations.

I’m a medical student studying in Catania, Sicily, and I’m really interested in doing Erasmus, but I’ve been getting a lot of mixed information, and I’m hoping to hear from people who have actually done it (especially medical students).

I’d really appreciate advice on:

  • What is the best year to do Erasmus for medicine? I’ve been told the 3rd or 4th year is ideal, but I’ve also heard different opinions.
  • Do medical students usually need to do a full academic year abroad, or is doing just one semester possible?
  • How much should I realistically budget for Erasmus (housing, food, travel, daily expenses)?
  • How much financial aid/grant support was usually provided, and was it enough for you?
  • Which destinations would you recommend for medical students, considering:
    • quality of teaching/clinical experience
    • affordability
    • ease of adapting
    • language barriers

I’d also love to hear about your personal experience:

  • Was it worth it academically and personally?
  • Did credit recognition become a problem when returning?
  • Were there any unexpected difficulties?
  • Is there anything you wish you had known before applying?

I’m especially looking for advice from medicine students in Italy / Sicily / Catania, since I know Erasmus requirements can vary depending on the university.

I really want to do Erasmus, so I’d appreciate any honest advice, things to watch out for, or mistakes to avoid.

I’m a 2nd international medical student studying in Sicily, and I’m confused about how the university/regional scholarship system works.

I’m trying to understand:

  • How the scholarship application process works
  • How to properly read and understand the ISEE/ISEEU documentation
  • How scholarship eligibility is affected by university credits (CFU)
  • Whether it’s still possible to receive funding if you’re behind on credits

My situation:

I arrived later than expected, which affected my first academic year. Because of this, I wasn’t able to earn enough credits to meet the usual second-year requirements.

I’m now trying to catch up and progress into my third year, but I’m worried this may affect my eligibility.

I’m especially confused about:

  1. How to read my ISEE/ISEEU document and what parts matter for scholarship applications
  2. What are the documents I need for ISEE, and should they, be translated into Italian or is English good enough?
  3. If there are ways to regain eligibility after falling behind
  4. What deadlines/requirements should I be paying attention to

If anyone studies medicine (or any degree) in Sicily and has experience with this process, I’d really appreciate advice or explanations in simple terms because I’m finding the official documents difficult to understand.

Thank you.
