hi! i am from the philippines.

my research abstract got accepted and i got invited to present my research abroad (under the TIIKM publishing, if you are familiar with it).

it’s self-funded though since i don’t have a university or work sponsoring me. thankfully it’s not super expensive, but i’d still have to get a big chunk from my savings and i kinda don’t want that.

do you guys know if there are ways to get additional funding, maybe from government agencies, politicians, NGOs, or private orgs?

I’ve been teaching the language for around five years now. I previously worked at an international private school as an ESL instructor. Over the years, I’ve taught students working in embassies, people planning to travel around the Philippines, and others learning for personal reasons—like reconnecting with their roots, understanding their loved ones’ language, or preparing for work or business opportunities in the country.

For context: I am in my mid 20s. I graduated with a major in Filipino Language and I’m planning to pursue a master’s degree soon. I also love traveling and cultural exchange, so I really enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds while sharing the language and culture.

hi! just wondering, does the UPD Pol Sci Dept not usually send acknowledgment emails? i sent my MIA requirements last month and haven't heard anything.

no worries or panic though, just curious. i know the 4–6 weeks on their site is for interview scheduling, not confirmation of documents. it’s just that my previous college was responsive, so i’m not sure what to expect here.
