I usually record male melodic trap vocals (Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug for reference), its a fairly treated home studio im recording in. Using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 Gen 3.

I personally don't have a problem recording with AT2020 but different engineers i work with told me to upgrade my mic for more detail. I have some spare money nowadays, not something crazy but could go double the price of AT2020. Currently considering rode nt1 or lct 240 pro
