Court ruled wet reckless but DMV hearing was lost so I have to do 3 months now. I don’t know what to expect? I’m very grateful it’s virtual but would like to know what it entails. It’s right when I get home from work for 2.5 hours so am I allowed to eat dinner during it? Do they give you breaks? Are there quizzes etc? Any insight would be helpful please.
Got pulled over for speeding (it went from 50 down to 35) very quickly downhill. Got pulled over just a minute from my house. I declined the breathalyzer so they did a field test and then hand cuffed me and took me to the ER to get blood drawn and then spent the night in jail. Blood draw came back at 0.093 which my lawyer got a toxicologist to appear at the DMV hearing who said there is no possible way (given the timeline + my height and weight) that I would have been more than 0.06 at the time of driving. Still lost the DMV hearing and got suspended license for 4 months.
Now my court date is coming up. What can I expect? Best case and worst case for California? Freaking out! Will literally never ever drive with even a sip of alcohol in my system. Nor will I ever speed.
