AITA / in home maid troubles
12 year old me had moved to Africa with my family. We got a house, and to ,my surprise we got a maid. The maid was my age. She works for her family, because her dad can't work. My mom got a young maid so she can teach her recipe's and tips. I barely knew my native language but I talked with her so much. I played games with her, we watched horror movies on my school laptop and I'd translate. We'd eat snacks I'd buy earlier in the day. That was until she broke the tv, tripped my 2 year old cousin, (he had to get stitches)
Regardless of the fact my mom bought her almost everything I had, necessities and matching dresses. She would go out of her way to mess up my room (is clean it everyday by myself). She’d steal my brushes, she’s steal my scrunchies, not once, not twice but multiple times. She even said “I’ll keep on taking it” I told my mom but she said leave her be and let her keep you stuff, and how she’s less fortunate than me. I was so angry. She’s steal others snacks, and most of all bully me. She’d come in my room just to say “ew” to me. She’d steal my grandmas phone and hide in the bathroom. So am I the asshole for hating her guts? My siblings say I was selfish and self absorbed, but who knows.
