Basically the title. I'm relatively new to smithbox. I've been messing with it the last couple of days and have managed to add stats and immunities to great runes when active and to make a talisman point to a sp effect instead of it's usual effect but I can't figure the lifesteal out. I've been trying to add it to malenia's great rune or the ruby talisman via a modified serpent's curved sword effect but have had no luck.

Tldr: how to make a great rune or talisman grant lifesteal on attack / on-hit (not just on kill)?
