Need a bit of honest advice.

I’m knee-deep in my second year Maths modules and, honestly, I’m floundering. Tried the uni’s peer support sessions – nice enough, but it’s a bit chaotic and I’m not really getting what I need. Feels like everyone’s just as lost as I am. At this point, I reckon I could seriously do with proper 1-on-1 help if I’m going to get through these assignments without having a meltdown. Anyone else been in this boat? I’ve been trawling through a few sites, trying to find someone who actually gets the UK uni marking schemes (because if I get another essay back covered in question marks, I might scream).

For those who’ve gone down the external tutor route, how did you know you’d found a good one? Did you get a proper vibe from the first session, or is it more about checking their background and hoping for the best? Would love any horror stories or hidden gems – I’m all ears.

Cheers in advance for any wisdom (or warnings)!

I’m thinking about moving to LA for work, but I don’t currently have a car. I’ve seen mixed opinions-some people say it’s doable in certain areas, others say it’s basically impossible. I’d likely be working a regular 9-5 and living somewhat central if possible. Is public transport + rideshare enough, or does it get frustrating fast?
