So, I recently bought an adapter for my gamecube controllers, I turned the switch to Wii U/ switch, connected both usb cables to the dock and they simply don't work. As far as I know, the GC controllers shouldn't be the problem, they were in the box of my old regular Wii, thing I didn't reaalize until a year ago, and used them with no problem to play some N64 and GC games on my Wii. I just bought the adapter, so it also shouldn't be the problem. I don't think it's the dock as well, but since I've never found myself in the need to use the USB ports at the front, I don't really know if the ports or the dock itself is the problem. I did some digging, and found that from a certain software version onwards, there were similar problems with GC controllers and the adapters. I don't really know a lot about this kind of stuff, and my internet sucks 22 hours of the day so I can't spend a lot of time searching for solutions blindly.

I don't know how to look for the version of atmosphere and all the other things that the auto mod mentions, if they're needed, please tell me how I can get to them lmao.
My switch is an european oled, modded with a chip, if it matters. I also tried both my controllers on all 4 ports of the adapter, and it still didn't work. Like I said, I'm inclined to believe it's a software issue, and not the adapter of the controller. I really hope it's a solvable software issue, or else I just wasted 30 dollars on the adapter...
