Hi all,

Set up my new 6.8 gallon tank this past Friday and have noticed this brown film beginning to develop on the leaves of my plants. It can be shaken off pretty easily. I’ve had my light on for ~6-7 hours a day and started the cycle with some bacteria in a bottle and a filter sponge from a friend’s established tank. Haven’t used fertilizer yet, but I do have some. Using an inert black sand substrate. Is this something I should be concerned about? This is my first tank
