Helloe, Im new to the standing desk thing. However I work from home and its becoming apparent I am not moving enough during the day.

My biggest issue is finding legs that will fit my desk. I am a welder adn can fabricate really anything. My desk is abou 9 feet long and 32inches in depth. I am struggling to find legs that will accomadate my large desk. I would ideally be ok with a set of 4 legs even if I need to make custom brackets to mount them to the desk that is fine.

Everything I have found is either a frame or a 2 post setup that is obscenely expensive. what are my options?

Desk is 9ft X 32". Frame and top is steel so its about 170LBS.

Hello everyone. As most owners are aware, the Gauge Cluster Lenses in Mazda CX30/50 is made of playdough and dead dreams. It scratches just by looking at it. leaving some less desirable glares especially when in direct sunlight.

However, the Lens is not too hard to replace. you need 3 total tools.

Tools: T15 Torx bit with some way to turn it. (I used a 1/4" socket extension on mine, no need for a ratchet though).

some sort of small pick and small flat head screwdriver.

NOTES: My new lense did not arrive perfectly from Mazda. it had some scratches. I was able to clear it up using Meguiars PlastX compound and a very soft/clean Microfiber towel. An air compressor is a great tool to remove dust right before install. Towels will always leave a little fuzz behind and once the lens is on, anything on the back side is permanent. Clean the lens carefully before install and be sure it looks as best as you can make it. It's a shame Mazda chose such poor material for the lens. But the care is great otherwise.

I would have posted more images of removal of the lens itself but Reddit will not let me add more images. Advice is to just take your time with the lens. it should not require much pulling force to remove once all clips are free. Also, gloves are recommended here, finger prints will ruin your day.

Step 1 is removing the driver side vent. This just clips in and can be pulled out by hand. I recommend getting fingers underneath and to the side of it.

Step 2 is the passenger side Vents/ Facade. This is easiest to access with the passenger door open and is also just clipped in and comes out pretty easy.

Step 3 is removing the trim around the gauge cluster itself. Both driver side and passenger side lower dash trim pieces can be partially removed to make some room.

Step 4 is removing the wired connection behind for the trim buttons around the lens itself. one on both sides.

These are just push clip connections, I found a small pick to help push the clip down helped a lot as they are very small and difficult to get fingers on.

Step 5 is removing the gauge cluster trim itself. you must remove the 2 Torx screws located on the top right and left of the trim piece. Be careful these screws are short and easy to lose inside of a vehicle. T15 Torx here.

Step 5.1. The trim piece between the steering wheel column and the clips into the gauge lens trim. Carefully remove the clips, as noted in the image it has 3 clips total. 2 left and right. 1 in the center.

https://preview.redd.it/6n6k1myo48yg1.jpg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0047c4c37b03d7dea16cba63350297d5ec4ecdd5

Step 6 is removing the Lens itself now that the lens trim is removed. BE CAREFUL. The plastic this is made of is very brittle, scratches easy and cracks easy. This lens has 9 total plastic clips that must be pressed down by a pick or other tool. do not try to rip the lense out, you will break it like I did. You'll notice on the bottom it has 2 prongs, these prongs I believe are to only be used for installation. underneath the lens adjacent to the prongs you will see 2 clips, these 2 can be pushed up with your fingers and you should feel them pop. Along the sides you will find clips that need to be pushed inward as well. These will likely also pop. The top 3 clips are tricky because you cannot get fingers on them. I suggest using a small angled pick to get into the hole and press down. These should also pop when free. The lens should require very little pulling effort to come free.

On reinstalling I highly suggest before clipping the new lense in, set it where it will live and inspect it. This is the last opportunity you will have to dust / clean the back side of it. BE SURE IT LOOKS AS YOU WANT before finalizing the install. Be sure the wires are clear on the lens as well, they can get pinched. once you can clipped it into the dash. verify its seated all the way, the gauge lense trim will not go back on it and the lens itself is not seated. Nothing during this install requires much force at all. If you are forcing anything you are doing it wrong.

Once the trim is installed, wires are plugged back in. The lower trim around the steering column will need to be lifted up a bit to re align the clips. Once that is back in place the Driver vent and passenger facade piece can be snapped back into place.

Once assembled, you should have a cleaner lense. careful cleaning. Maybe try one of those Films, I have had terrible luck applying these to this lense though.
