This was inspired by the back up camera post.
I bought mine new in 2016, and have put all the miles on it myself (65k). Longest I've ever owned a car other than a 71 VW super beetle that I almost died in about 2 months ago.
The issues I've had are:
-Back up camera. (Doesn't bother me, only turns B/W for a second every now any then)
-Purge valve
-Washer pump
- O2 sensor - (don't have enough expletives to describe that bitch)
-Leaking heater hoses that lead to the next one...
-Cracked head, not cheap, but it was 9 years old at that point. The low coolant indicator only showed up after the heat didn't work when I came to a stop. I think this is one of the worst design flaws of the car. I knew it was leaking and was waiting for the hoses when it happened and had kept the coolant topped up.
-Slipping clutch, this is new and only happens when I hit it hard in at a low RPM in 3 or higher gear. I've haven't burned a clutch in the 30 years of driving one, so it may be a leaky slave or something. It doesn't act like a regular burned clutch. When driving normally, it won't slip at all.
-Washer cap (on the third one of these including the mentos "mod"
Still love it, could easily afford an upgrade, but there's nothing out there to that even compares to the fun little go kart that I love to drive.
