We're all hyped for the Man Without Fear skin, but you don't need to post the screenshot of it for the 99th time. We've seen it.

Literally every second post is the cropped screenshot. Jesus Christ.

I've seen the movie two days ago. I would give it 3.5/5.

First and foremost Jaafar has done it. He became Michael. I love biopics. My favorite of all time is Ray. I've seen Elvis, Rocketman, Bohemian Rhapsody, Get On Up, Walk the Line and many others. I can honestly say I've never had a moment where I forgot I was watching somebody pretend to be the singer on screen. Until Jaafar. There are moments in this film where you get so lost in it, that for a split second you forget this isn't really Michael. And I think that despite the fact I'm not the biggest fan of the movie, Jaafar should get an Oscar for it.

The second best thing in this movie is Colman Domingo. He played the part of Joe Jackson brilliantly. I would however say that his role has been watered down a bit or maybe softened. Yet what is shown there is good.

Now onto the things I didn't like. Well obviously the movie had to rewrite it's ending and probably the whole final third. You can feel it. Now if this means we end up with a sequel where these things might get fixed (they settle the lawsuit which doesn't allow them to use the likeness of the famous case), I'm happy. If anything I think someone as big as MJ deserves to have two movies about his life.

However even with the sequel looming over us, I'd say that this first movie could have done more. Somehow this whole first film outside of MJ and Joe felt like it didn't really have other characters. Felt a bit empty. And rather...too...friendly. I don't doubt Joe loved his boys but didn't know how to show it yet he doesn't really come of as negative in the movie as I don't doubt he was irl. When the more soft tone of the movie is compared to a lack of a supporting cast, the movie gives of an alright vibe.

But once again Jaafar knocked it out of the park. And despite the fact I listen to MJ almost daily it felt really nice to hear the songs in a movie theatre.
