I’m 19 and honestly I’m not chasing high pay right now.

I live in Texas and make $13.50/hr at H-E-B, and I’m lucky enough to live with my mom who’s well off, so I don’t really have bills besides contributing to my Roth IRA.

My work experience so far:

Pizza shop

Car salesman

Grocery store (current job, been here 6 months)

Sales was actually really fun because I’m pretty outgoing, but I burned myself out doing constant 12-hour shifts. I could see myself going back to it later, just with better work-life balance.

Right now I want something fun, unpredictable, and memorable while I’m still young. I feel like this is the time in my life where I should be trying different things and seeing what sticks.

One of my coworkers is leaving to work in Yellowstone, and that honestly sounds amazing to me.

Jobs like national parks, cruise ships, resorts, bars, seasonal travel jobs, etc. seem way more exciting than staying in one place doing the same routine.

I mainly want experiences, new connections, and stories to look back on. My mom always told me that it’s not just what you know—it’s who you know, and I feel like meeting different people could help me a lot long-term.

Has anyone done jobs like this before or have recommendations for fun jobs that let you travel/live somewhere interesting?

TL;DR: I’m 19, have very few financial responsibilities, and want to take advantage of that by trying fun/unpredictable jobs that let me travel, meet people, and have unique experiences before settling into something more serious.
