Hi everyone,
Need a ready-made American control box / enclosed motor starter setup.
I have a 208V 3-phase exhaust fan motor in a woodworking shop. Motor current is small — around 3A normal load. No neutral available.
Right now the machine and the exhaust fan are controlled separately. I want to add a remote ON/OFF switch near the machine so the operator can start the exhaust directly from the workstation.
Looking for a ready-made enclosed motor starter / control box that can:
• accept 208V 3-phase + ground input
• connect directly to the exhaust motor
• support a remote low-voltage control switch (12-24V preferred)
The remote switch wiring will run exposed along the machine frame, so I do NOT want line voltage at the operator station. Prefer 24VAC control.
Ideally the enclosure already includes:
• contactor / motor starter
• 208→24VAC control transformer
OR at least has enough room inside for a small HVAC transformer (208/240/277 → 24VAC).
Basically looking for something cleaner and more professional than building another “box full of random parts.”
Motor load is small, only about 3A, used for a dust/exhaust system in a cabinet shop.
