1 year Post Op – Dr. Kongkiat Laorwong, Absolute Hair Clinic, 2350 grafts
Hey guys,
It's been a year plus one day since my operation in Bangkok with Dr. L.
I can say I am quite happy with the process and the results now!
The texture of the hair continues to improve and thicken/soften. At first growth was wiry and thin but gets much more normalized with time and increasingly it's pretty much impossible to tell the difference between transplanted and non-transplanted hair (it's still a little curly but that's it, and the curl is pretty nice). I am also happy with the density for the most part, there are gaps but it ultimately just looks like natural hair and not fake "doll hair" which I think it would look like if it were much denser. Maybe a little more density would look nice, but not much is really needed. I can wear it down pretty well too, it doesn't stick up (it sort of did initially but not anymore)
I have been on 1mg of fin 3x/wk and 2.5mg oral minoxidil daily since the operation.
While the results here I am quite happy with, my only issue is that the hairline is a bit high on the temples, my choice of shape at the time so no one's fault by my own. I realized I wanted them lower, so I am going back for a minor operation with Dr. Ratchathorn to fill in the sides to flatten the hairline a bit more and possibly address a little diffuse thinning in the back. I am considering a no shave transplant but will take her advice on whether I should go shaven or not. What do you guys think?
Please let me know if you have any questions, and a big thank you to everyone on this sub who made posts and responded to my questions. I feel I made a great choice thanks to you.
