A few new patches I made today! I'm on a bit of an anti-Reform UK thing at the minute if you couldn't tell.
These are some of my favourites I've done in a while. It's been ages since I had a bit of time to really go through the to-do list of patches and get some of them done.
As always, you can get them at www.socialrebellionpatches.com
Or go to my Linktree if you want to give me a follow on IG or look at what else I do. :)
Anti Reform UK Patch. A British Politics version of my Anti Maga patch.
The elections this week were horrendous.
We're in for a nightmare come next General Elections.
Anti Reform UK patch. For those of us sick of the racism, the lies and their followers.
You can get it on my website or my Etsy as per usual.
Want cheap/free healthcare? Radical leftie.
Want abortion and contraception access? Radical leftie.
Don't want to breathe excessive amounts of pollution and support measures to curb it? Radical leftie.
Funny enough I just realised this is the first band I've ever seen that had no backdrop at all. Even the smaller metal bands I see here use the projector screen behind and have a backdrop running from a laptop. I love noticing small irrelevant details like this. 😂
Native James has got to be the best support act I've witnessed where I walked in having no idea of who they were or what they were like. The ferocious energy was top tier.
Been a busy month working on the patches for the Official London Metal Coalition Battle Jacket I'm making, handful of bands down, and a huge lot to go... I'll get there though, hopefully before August when we raffle the jacket off at a mini-festival (if you're near London you should come! - The sewing club will be there too!)
Most of these are bands, but the Signature Brew one is one of the venues we use for gigs that have given permission for me to recreate their patch for the jacket project.
The memorial patch was a nice one to work on. A customer who has ordered a lot of patches from me to gift to her friend wanted something designed as that recipient friend sadly passed away. She gave me a brief and an example and asked if I could somehow make it rainbow for her.
The Battle Jacket Sewing Club London wanted a run of 20 patches to sell at the club. I took their logo and used a combo of normal and special matt threading to make them stand out better.
And my Dad, who is building a really cool jacket for a newbie in his 50's, asked for the Amon Amarth one lol.
Anyways, someone asked me what it was like making patches and it made me realise some people do actually care about hearing the back story next to the pictures so there ya go.
I've included some links to parts of this project for those intrigued, try and make it to the one of the gigs one day if you can!
Signature Brew is my favourite venue and I'm so lucky to get to see Enter Shikari of all bands there tomorrow night! I see lots of local bands there and have held a stall there quite a few times now, if you're going tomorrow you're in for a treat, the band will perform right next to massive brewery vats, it's a unique type of venue.
I make patches that I design myself for my work, but I use my machine for awesome custom projects like this for myself from time to time and to practice doing bigger pieces like this one. :D
I used the very first logo I know of from the early days in 2006 when they were pinned to my MySpace profile.
I'll be going on my own tomorrow so hope to make some new friends in the queue or bar beforehand. See you there!
