So I know being demi is the need for emotional connection for sexual attraction and having a preference for relationships over hookups doesn't make you demi but how do I parse out if I have a preference or a need? How do I tell if It's my sexual attraction or some sort of heavy preference overruling sexual attraction?

I could see a stranger and think they're attractive but if I got the opportunity for a hookup with them I think the interaction would just be disgusting for me. I've enjoyed porn, but I've always had an inner aversion to watching other people like that and this has became more prevalent lately, making it harder to enjoy and me seeing it as more disgusting.
