I’ve long had issues with tooth 19. It had a root canal and a crown that came off, the tooth was damaged when it came off, it was recrowned. That crown again came off and now it is going to be extracted.
The dentist is referring me to an implant surgeon but a bridge is a possibility. Financially I’m not in a fantastic place to spend money on an implant even with insurance I’d be out of pocket several thousand.
Is a bridge a bad idea? I don’t love the idea of harming teeth that are still ok but financially it makes sense.
Are there any other options? How long can I put off the decision?
I’ll be seeing the surgeon to get the tooth extracted and getting their estimate before making a decision, but the cost from my dentist before even accounting for extraction and post is daunting.
