AI makes dumb people sound smarter and forces smart people to sound dumber.

I am a reasonably intelligent human being, I work in mid-senior management in technology and am client facing. My writing style has always been quite verbose and eloquent.

I can see an AI email from miles off, they are easy to identify. The problem is that my natural professional writing style is similar to how ChatGPT constructs its emails.

I now literally need to go through my emails before I send them and *dumb them down a bit* so they don't sound like they were written by an AI.

AI is driving the entire human race to achieve a baseline average. If you sound too smart, you are written off as AI. If you sound too dumb, you just use AI. It's infuriating.

The end of the last episode has pretty much lined up exactly how all this will end- my prediction is below:

The ISN, backing Lee Jung-Gil offer to supply Happy Valley with food, water etc in return for Irridium. Happy Valley agree. The ISN publicly condemns the M7 for abandoning people to die, and the M7 dig in their heels.

Seeing that they can't starve HV out the M7 launch their space marines to retake Happy Valley by force.

The ISN doesn't withdraw food, but refuses to get involved with outright combat.

The space marines likely sabre rattle in orbit for an episode before deploying. It's a massacre. We lose some key characters, likely Lee Jung-Gil and probably Miles (along with other prominent agitators). Boyd makes an impassioned plea - they aren't terrorists, this is their home... not sure if she dies or not at this point - it will depend on how heroic she is in the next episode.

Haskell finds himself face to face with his friends on the surface, he tries to save them. One of them gets shot. He turns on his marine buddies.

Stevens sides with Haskell, it's her opportunity to redeem the family name in the eyes of the Martians.

There is a standoff, and news of what is happening filters to earth. The people of earth are horrified and the US president faces substantial political and civil pressure to back down and stop murdering civilians.

It's tense - but everything is saved when Kelly finds evidence of Life on Titan. They all stop, remembering what space exploration is all about.

The series ends with HV a self declared (but not recognised) independent nation, supported by the ISN and trading with both the ISN and M7 with an uneasy peace.
