Y2K and Frutiger Aero nostalgia are popping off right now, while Windows popularity is dropping off a cliff. This seems like an obvious way to draw people back to me! They don't need to remake the entire OS. Literally just reskinning Windows 11 with classic shells and a few iconic applications like minesweeper, pinball, and purble place would be enough.

I'd pay for Windows XP Remastered, for sure.

I unironically love this song. Why did they make it so melancholy?

I'm struggling to figure out what the difference between the two versions is. I'm aware that the mk2 version has significantly more memory and CPU capacity than the mk1, but how does that actually translate into features? As far as I can tell, they both run the same firmware revision, and they both support the mk2 expander. Is it just that the mk1 is maxxed out, whereas the mk2 has the possibility of further firmware updates later on?

It's supposedly the highest-grossing film of all time, and its sequel is the third-highest-grossing film of all time. It stands to reason that a pretty sizable number of people must, therefore, like these films, yet I can count on one hand the number of people I've met who have even seen them. I've never seen anyone walking around in an Avatar t-shirt. I've never seen Avatar toys on the shelves.

So I guess there are three possibilities:

1. It's a conspiracy by Big Cinema to launder money or some shit, and in reality it sold way below the reported numbers
2. Everyone has seen it and actually quite likes it, but nobody is willing to admit to watching it
3. I'm out of touch (inconceivable)

Seems like fertile ground for an hour-long video investigation/essay for sure
