I found this sick piece of driftwood (think Gandalf the Grey's staff) that I want to turn into a staff with heavy Viking themes/flair. It's got open space at the top to put some sort of crystal into it with plenty of room for leather straps, metal rings, and all kinds of epic stuff. One idea I had was to inscribe/carve runes down the sides.

But I have literally no idea which ones to use, or in what order, or anything like that. It wouldn't be a warrior staff (Vikings may not have even used them as weapons anyway), so any resources anybody has that I might use? I don't want it to look stupid and I don't want people to look at the runes and be like "Uh...these are wrong/incorrect/dumb".

Wisdom type content would be pretty cool, or even just straight up references to the Gods would suffice. Any thoughts or help provided would be neat or links to resources. After I'm done I may share the final result! It'll get used often with all the Viking/LARP events I go to.

Looking for an epic intro/animated video of Primeape being awesome. I've got ideas on what this could look like but it needs lots of pows, punches, and probably Super Effective! damage all over the place.

Very serious and very eager. DM's will be open. Please shoot me over a link to your work for review and a little excitement wouldn't hurt either. Super Nerds with super skills needed with potential for more nerdy work in the future.

Not sure what a good budget for this would be so guesstimating, not squeamish about paying more for the right artist who can deliver what I'm looking for.
