Hi.

I have a Dual 1249 turntable that I opened up to fix a problem with the auto return activating too far in (which is now fixed). As I opened up the chassi I found this part loose at the bottom. Do to know what part it is and what it does?

I have looked at the exploded view of the parts in the service manual and can't find any parts that look like it/partially look like it.
