Hi! I’m not an alcoholic by any means, but I definitely enjoy being drunk with close friends, and I’ve gotten drunk three whole times in my life, all of which since I turned 18 a few or so months ago.

Also I’m Australian where the legal drinking age here is 18.

One issue I always face is that I have a seemingly unavoidable physical reaction to the aftertaste of alcohol, reminiscent of a cartoon character eating a lemon where their face puckers in. It doesn’t matter if I’m drinking wine, vodka, scotch, or any other alcohol type or brand, I always have the same uncomfortable reaction to the taste

The reason I’m posting this here is because I’m diagnosed with mild autism and adhd, so my best guess is this is a sensory related thing somebody else might’ve experienced and found a way around it! Any help is appreciated greatly, thank you!
