I was on an order where they had the address for the restaurant correct, but the app was trying to take me two miles away. I told support about the issue But after I waited and then got the food, the system still unassigned me for inactivity being in the wrong spot. An extra percent on my cancellation rate but breakfast is nice...
Just a little chuckle this morning. I just had an order at a cake place that said 1x cake for items. I walk in and tell 'em I have an ubereats for so-and-so.
They come back with two boxes and a bag and say, "You can start with this and I'll get the rest." I asked them to confirm they have the right order because i'm only looking for one cake. They say it's the right one and read off everything that's part of it on their end. I told them that's catering order, and they said it is. I happen to know that they can enter an order like this correctly into their system but they don't, because it's easier just to put it as one item.
I told 'em that's okay and I would cancel, as I walked toward the door. The wide-eyed look and the clutching of pearls as they said , "Well are you coming back?"
Love that oversized item claim on the reasons for cancellation.
