How did you guys actually get better at muting? Just with time, or did you do something that made it all easier somehow? I’m a beginner, I’m trying to get Iron Man by Black Sabbath down, but heck, I feel like trying to mute the lower strings is making me use more pressure with the fingers I have to actually use for sound too, and it’s uncomfortable. Adjusting my wrist position and my thumb on the back of the neck helped, but it’s still sloppy and I find myself sometimes making the strings buzz. 😑 It’s pissing me off and if I frustration-strum these strings a few more times I might charge some sort of ultimate attack and obliterate my precious guitar.
Any advice would be more than amazing.
