Hi folks. I have a 12 year old Worcester boiler which died yesterday, looks to be the motherboard. I have a quote to replace it, but the heating engineer said that they can't be sure that another faulty part hasn't caused that to die without the motherboard powering it first, and if so, the cost could keep going up.
Given that, and the age of it, I also got a quote to replace the boiler. Quote seems reasonable, (just under £2200 installed) although the company may be Baxi affiliated, and they've quoted me for a Baxi 424.
Any advice on whether this sounds reasonable? Or any horror stories about the brand?
2 bed, 1 bath semi, 2 occupants, if it's relevant!
