What are my options for getting streams to not overload the network?
Yes you read that correctly, streams. Right now I do multiple streams for fighting games tournaments at events so that we can get more matches recorded and streamed out there during our events. We share the same network with the venue and we've noticed that during the stores peak hours, the network will crash leading the streams to be offline for about an hour or two before their stable again.
The network itself I can't be able to really get better speeds or better networking in place, instead I want to explore how we can make our streams not take up too much of the network while still keep the quality. Right now we send these to YouTube at 6000kbps and 160 audio quality for 1080p and 60fps.
I was wondering if there are ways we can still keep it at 1080p 60fps while keeping the network from being overloaded in combination with the venue's network usage. I was looking into stream delay and saw that the general consensus was that they don't really offload of the network. Is there something similar that can?
