We were in the process of selling our house so this Muslim Punjabi woman that we distantly knew had recently come into contact with my mother.
She was looking for a job and her situation was a little bit different because she had actually left her husband’s house and he’s known to be a decent religious man. Her kids also don’t really talk to her, nobody knows the reason for the divorce, but she left her house.
Anyways my mom offers her to stay at our house while she looks for a job. (Didn’t charge her rent or anything)
The electric/ water bill was $500 per month when our family of 6 was living in the house.
When it was only her living there, it stayed $500+
My parents didn’t bring it up to her and just payed it.
Also she would go outside every few minutes (my mom would stay there for a few weeks at the start with her) and just walk, even when the temperatures were freezing, or pouring rain.
Now, she wears hijab nd would frequent the mosque and also speak about how she makes a lot of friends, but so many people who saw her would say she’s “different” or just express wierd sentiments about her. She would also rummage through our suitcases(this was evident by having misplaced clothes), and she has a strange attitude. When my mom brought food for them to both eat, she would quickly excuse herself and go outside and wouldn’t eat it together.
Anyways, I remember telling my mom that I felt very uncomfortable looking in her eyes and I couldn’t explain why,
It turns out two other girls had approached my mom and said the same thing, about her eyes. Idk maybe it’s just exaggeration or something, but she has since moved out and left some of her belongings in our garage, also she kept making excuses for why she couldn’t find a job, even though the whole Muslim community was readily offering her positions.
I really don’t think jinn is a possibility but I just want opinions. May Allah make it easy for her.
