My dad called me a bi#*h

22F. Fhis happened about a week ago when I was helping clean the house. I was mopping the floor and he just came back from grocery shopping with my uncle who has dementia. Who I also care for, change his diaper, feed, etc. My dad told me the obvious by saying that the floor was “wet” in an annoyed tone. So I said, “I just mopped,” also in an annoyed tone because he never cleans the house and leaves my uncle’s shitty diapers out in the open for me to clean. So he called me a little bitc* and proceeded to call me an idiot, retard, whatever whatever. I stood up for myself and started screaming at him since he’s been doing this since I was 14, and to my mother as well.

We haven’t spoken since because I’m not apologizing for something I didn’t do wrong, which in his eyes is standing up for myself against him since my mom never does. However he also supports me while I’m in college and pays for groceries. He also does the same for my mom which is why she endures this and accepts him doing it to me.

Anyways I know parents argue with their children but I don’t think this is normal. Is this normal??
