Scholarships to Cover Almost (if not all) Of Tuition

I feel like i hear lots of people say to "just apply to scholarships" when you talk about financial anxiety in college, which i hear, but it also doesn't help. this might sound stupid but literally how does one apply to scholarships? where do you look? when do i apply? i am planning to transfer for Fall 2027. do i have to wait until fall to start applying to scholarships? my ultimate dream goal is to have enough aid and scholarship money to go to ucsb or ucla without taking out a loan. when i applied straight out of high school i basically got no aid. any help, advice, or information is greatly appreciated.

Not Many Extracurriculars Transferring to UC

I am a first year student at a CCC. I am looking to apply to transfer this fall for Fall 2027 semester to a UC as a Communications major. I am a caretaker for my grandmother so I am not able to do any extracurriculars (like clubs and other stuff). The only extracurriculars I have are taking care of my grandma, taking care of my sister after surgery, tutoring family, and occasional office assistant work. So far, I have gotten an A in all my classes including my previous dual enrollment classes and have kept a high GPA. I'm pretty concerned that my lack of contribution to campus and campus activities will be a turn off. I am planning to disclose the fact that I can't leave the house much because of my caretaking responsibilities on my application but I wanted to ask peoples opinions. Do you think this will affect my application and lower my chances of getting in?

i'm doing my fiftieth rewatch of grey's anatomy and i feel like every time i rewatch the show the more i hate bailey. like in s9 e12 when she was getting mad at Derek for getting mad abt potentially closing the er and she says smth along the lines of "some of us don't have a couple million to settle on." like genuinely stfu... that is THE LEAST they should've gotten after being in the woods for literal days with no resources. how dare anyone shit on anyone on that plane for suing the hospital. they don't know half the stuff they went through. people need to start calling out bailey more cause she's so damn annoying. when meredith was helping her with the diabetes trial and had her mom's journals and bailey questioned her abt it. like girl please that is her mother's journal; you have no authority over them. i need to know if people agree with me.
