I would love to do the Camino solo in June. I do not want to have to book anything in advance or stress about not finding a bed; that removes all the joy and freedom out of it for me 😂

Frances would be my preference as I’m based in Toulouse; is this realistic for June? Or is there another route I should consider for a stress free trip? I don’t want a route that’s toooo quiet either as I still want to feel safe as a solo female and see people along the trail. Little overwhelmed with options.

Thanks in advance for your help lovely people 😊

Girls Trip Recs

Two late 20s friends heading to Da Nang for a girls trip. Is An Thuong actually a nice place to stay?

Realllly want to avoid uniculture cheesy tourist strip vibes like we suffered through in Nha Trang a few years back.

We are Aussie and usually go to Uluwatu in Bali or Siargao in the Philippines if that helps set the context. Near enough to the beach, cafes, other young travellers would be ideaaaal.

Thanks in advance lovely people!!!

As we all know, the housing situation is a bit cooked for us Gen Z who are now approaching 30 and looking for a secure roof over our heads.

In an attempt to make it happen the only way possible without leveraging ourselves to death, we have bought a piece of land in the regions and are about to commence owner building our own small house, only engaging trades for the legal bits (plumbing, electricity).

Conversationally, it seems like many of us are considering this path, particularly those outside of the city, but I’m yet to meet anyone in real life (not social media) that’s actually done it yet.

So if this is you, drop your experiences, facts and figures!

P.S isn’t it hilarious the economy has gone so full circle that we are building our own houses like our great grandparents would have. Except they didn’t have a million permits and hoops to jump through

EDIT I’m not looking for people to say they wouldn’t do it because THEY don’t think they’re capable. We have skills and experience and are capable. Just wanting to hear if other people have done it.
