Destroy my 80s terminal biology incremental game where i tried to make combos actually matter. (Keep in mind it's my first game ever pls)

Got rid of the boring skill tree lines and made them animated DNA instead.

The default straight lines were making my upgrade menu look like a generic tech tree. Since the game is a cellular incremental, I decided to actually lean into the biology theme and swapped them out for these moving DNA strands. Fits the retro-terminal UI vibe way better and makes the whole screen feel alive.

Upgraded my UI in Godot, from boring static lines to moving DNA strands.

Swapped boring lines with DNA strands but worried it might be distracting?

Trying to make the UI fit the biological/ 80s terminal theme of my game more. I swapped the standard boring lines between the nodes with DNA strands. I love the vibe, but I'm worried about the UX just for the sake of looking cool. Is it too visually noisy to track the paths.

Hücre temalı incremental oyunum için UI güncellemesi yaptım sizce yetenek ağacındaki dna sarmalları göz yoruyor mu?

Are the DNA strands too distracting when compared against the good old lines in a skill tree?

Upgrading the UI for a cellular incremental game, I wanted to lean hard into biology/terminal aesthetic, so I replaced static lines between nodes with animated DNA strands. Aesthetically I think it's a win, but from a UX perspective, is it too distracting?

Trying to make the UI fit the theme of my cellular incremental game better. Do the DNA strands look better than the old plain lines?

I'm trying to make the UI fit the biological and terminal theme better. I know changing established UI elements can pull people out of their comfort zone, so I wanted to upgrade the visuals while staying in that comfort zone. What do you think, plain old lines vs dna strands?
