Pharmacist unsure if I had scabies but treating anyway

I’ve been to the pharmacist twice now who aren’t sure if I have scabies. I have barely any physical marks but have super intense itching that gets worse in the night. Done the standard antihistamines etc and nothing helps. Anyway, I went back and just asked for the treatment today as I can see no harm in doing it and then I’ll know one way or another.

What are everyone’s tips to effectively get rid of it as I’ve read the risk of reinfection is high. I’m currently washing pretty much everything (bedding, towels, etc) but not sure how OTT I need to go with this. I’m not sure if I need to throw away my duvet, mattress protector etc? I’m also not sure what to do about rugs and furniture. Any tips would be appreciated as this is honestly making my life hell.

Apologies in advance that there are already quite a few similar posts, but I wanted to share my experience with my first few day on Elvanse. I have started on 20mg, which I know is very low. I’ve never taken any sort of medication like this before.

I took my first pill yesterday. For the first few hours I felt quite strange, my arms felt quite heavy and I felt a bit like I was floating. I managed to clean my entire flat (not sure if it was a placebo effect but still) and felt quite happy for the first time in a while. Today I took the tablet for the first time at work, but didn’t feel like anything happened. I was potentially clearer in how I was thinking, but still struggled to focus and had racing thoughts. I’m also autistic and struggle with sensory issues and felt like the noises that would’ve previously bothered me in the office were heightened.

In general, I’ve not noticed anything with my appetite and if anything I’m eating more. I wondered if this was common at the beginning / on what dose / how long in people noticed a change? A symptom of my ADHD is binge eating so would be glad if Elvanse could help with that. I’ve also noticed that at around 3/4pm I’ve had a massive headache - I assume this is because the medication is new and this will hopefully go with time.

I know the dose is low, but I’m a little underwhelmed at the minute. I would really appreciate hearing other people’s experiences to help hang in there :)
