Currently in the position of being able to buy without needing a mortgage, but likely will need to subsequently borrow to do some renovations.
Is there any benefit in taking out the mortgage as part of the purchasing process? I was thinking it might flag any issues that future potential purchasers could face when I sell in the hopefully distant future?
