I just want to post this for further info in relation to a question I saw.
We applied for a spousal visa after having done a marriage visitor visa.
marriage visa for visa.
Evidence used:
His job contract + bank statements + family ties (as proof he would return to home country and proof of his funds for his trip (we had around 5k in savings at this time )
We used my tenancy + email from my landlord stating my partner could stay at my apartment with me. As proof of accommodation for his travels.
We provided proof of relationship - photos of us and conversations no more than one A4 page
We provided date and email confirmation of wedding plans with registry office.
We included cover letter that broke this down and gave an explanation of the plans we had.
This took around 2 months to come through.
Once I had worked at my job for 6 months (I earn over 29k) we applied for a uk spousal visa.
We included 6 months of bank statements + 6 payslips
The required English test
Copies of our passports (THATS WITHIN THE TIMEFRAME of the visa)
My tenancy agreement
My job contract
Proof of relationship - marriage certificate + photos and chat logs
This took 12 weeks from biometrics date for approval.
I think that’s mainly it.
I just wanted to put this here if anyone has a similar path to spousal visa and needs confirmation this way is possible / will work.
The whole process has taken over a year to sort for us.
