Kindle can’t connect to WiFi
I have a Kindle Paperwhite 11th gen currently on software 5.19.2 that won’t connect to WiFi.
We changed internet provider recently thus getting a new router.
A week or two later I realised I hadn’t connected my Kindle to the new router and am now having the issue that every time I enter the passcode to connect to the router I get the message pictured here.
So far:
- Both I and my partner have checked that the password is correct maaaaany times so we know that’s not the issue.
- The kindle has been restarted five or six times
- Partner changed the connection gHz to 2,4 from 5 which also didn’t help.
- I tried sharing my WiFi from my iPhone to my Kindle which was not a problem. Even though my phone was connected to the WiFi in question.
- I searched Amazon for help but seem to have tried the things they mentioned except for factory resetting the device, which I would like to avoid if at all possible.
Is there something obvious I’m missing?
Do I have to do a factory reset?
It’s my first Kindle and first connection issue rodeo. Please help 🐎
