I understand if this isn’t allowed but idk what else to do. I don’t drive and I have to uber to work but with the price gouging that’s happening on the ride share apps I’m not able to pay these prices. Is there anyone in the Tualatin/Tigard area that would be willing to set up a ride for me and I’ll just pay you directly since I know the drivers don’t actually take home a lot of this? Normally I would be paying $12-14 before this gas shortage so I would be willing to cash app or Venmo the same amount.

I’m just curious because it happens a lot, but is there some kind of penalty when the driver just parks somewhere while on their way to pickup? Eventually the app will offer me a new driver for no charge but it makes me late so often. Do they do that because they don’t want their rating to go down or something?
