Surprise! My first stats post here in over 3 months. ML2026 is under way and is the focus for pretty much all of us right now, but I still have to finish up the detailed stats for the latter half of the Impact Marble Racing Tournament, because I never did so until now. So might as well do it all in one post!

This post will cover events 5-8, and then give an update on the future of detailed stats and my plans for ML2026.

Event 5: Sharkteeth

Starting off with the times compared for Sharkteeth. Wow, Mo did really well in this event before the final - 1st and 3rd best times of the event! Props to them! Jump, the winner of the event, was however the only competitor with all 3 times in the top 15!

Now, here's how the results of each race in this event changed after ever second!

No wire-to-wire victories or last-to-first comebacks here, though Jump did go from 6th to winning the race not just one, but twice, doing so in semifinal A and the final!

Next event now, the Scoops!

Event 6: Scoops

Even though Rozzy won the event, I'd say Alpine was clearly the best performer in this event - two times in the top 5, and an astounding sub-13 second time in the heats while no other competitor could even manage anything better than a 15.79! Rozzy was the only marble to have all 3 times in the top 25, though it's worth noting that the final had noticeably slower times than the rest of the races.

And here's how the results of each race changed after every scoop!

Three notable things here. Firstly, Alpine's blisteringly fast run in the heats also resulted in the only wire-to-wire victory in this event! Secondly, Sea pulled off a last-to-first comeback in heat B! And thirdly... Minty Fresh in semifinal A. Leading though the first 5 scoops, dead last for the rest of the race. Quite the unfortunate chart there.

Onto the next event now!

Event 7: Spiral Split Merge

Fearo gets the best single time and the best average time of the event, while Heart is the only one with both times in the top 12. Props to them! Not much more to talk about here, so here's how the results of each race changed after each point in the track where the two sides of the track converge into one.

Three notable things to talk about here. Firstly, Fearo goes wire-to-wire in heat A, which is quite impressive considering how chaotic this event was! Secondly, Wispy makes an impressive climb from 15th to 2nd in heat B!

But don't let that overshadow the most cinematic part of this event - In heat B, Tumult starts off in dead last, and then slowly starts gaining positions, and then makes a very well-timed move at the last possible moment to just barely sneak into the top 8 and take the last transfer spot, before then going on to win final race and the event!

As far as I'm aware, this moment went unnoticed by most of the people who watched this event. So if you don't mind, I'd recommend taking a few seconds to pull up the video and watch Tumult's comeback in heat B from start to finish - it is quite glorious.

That being said, there is one more event after this one, and it is none other than the Big Tower!

Event 8: Big Tower

So, if you remember, the heats in this event raced on an obstacle course that most marbles traversed in approximately 50 seconds, while the final raced on an enormous tower where the race lasted over 2.5 minutes. Thus, for the "all times compared" stat, I am only including the times in the heats.

So, congrats to Kinnowin for setting the best time in the heats!

And finally, here's how the results of each race changed after each second...

This one image, especially the last chart, was half the reason why this post took so long to finish (with the other half being a lack of motivation). Doing this for the final race alone took about 7 hours of work 😅

Not much notable in the heats charts, but the final is... well, pure chaos. When updating the standings after every second, it appears that there were a whopping 37 lead changes, with 7 unique marbles having had the lead at some point, 3 of which were even in last place at the earlier parts of the course, including the eventual race winner Royal!

Oh yeah, and exactly 2 seconds into the final race, the three marbles that podiumed in this race (Royal, Pinky Toe, Honey) made up the provisional bottom 3. Crazy event indeed!

So, I've now done stats on all of the events in the Impact Marble Racing Tournament. Here's how long it took me to do it for each event:

E1: 8h
E2: 3h
E3: 2.5h
E4: 4h
E5: 2.5h
E6: 2.5h
E7: 1h
E8: 10.5h

Total: 34h

So... what's next for detailed stats? Well, ML2026 is 2 events in already, and as much as I would love do to detailed stats like this for each of its events, I have decided that I will unfortunately not be doing it this year, due to both an upcoming vacation and an increase in my workload. What I will be able to post, however, is the ML2026 MVM, coach and captain standings after each event. And also the lead cube standings because why not! And I will be posting them starting with event 3.

So yeah, long story short, I'm back to posting here, and detailed stats will return in their full form after ML2026 ends. But for now, I hope you enjoyed reading through the stats for Impact Marble Racing! Feel free to discuss your thoughts on the stats and/or use them for anything!
