Fuel Routing Logic

Bear with me. In simplest terms I have a 6 gal Suzuki portable fuel tank as my primary fuel source. Its routed from the tank to the water separator then to my dt 40 two stroke.

I need more fuel capacity and want a second same sized tank that I can simply switch to by using the existing female Suzuki connector already on the hose - to male reciever on the new secondary tank. Easy peasy. This is OPTION 1

NOTE:

Im in the Philippines and having a really hard time finding a Suzuki fitted tank that I can just switch over to.

OPTION TWO: I see LOTS of similar tanks but fitted out for Yamaha fittings.

If I cant find a tank with a prefitted Suzuki male connector at the tank - can I just use the Yamaha male fitting at the new secondary tank and then a short distance out fit a male Suzuki fitting to the hose to recieve from my primary tank? Would that pose any issue with "drawing" fuel? My concern is this extra link offers more chance for potential leakage.

OPTION THREE is I get a Yamaha fitted tank - cut off the motor connector end and also cut my primary tank hose and hook both tanks to a brass switch over valve and then onward directly to the water separator as it is - and on to the motor.

My concern with this set up is more connections to offer potential leak points and opportunities to suck in air.

PLEASE tell me what makes the most sense : option 1 is clearly best - but are option 2 or 3 viable if I cant locate an affordable Suzuki fitted tank?

Thanks for your help with this long winded post.
