I am 32 years old, and planning to apply next year and wanted to get honest feedback on my packet. I currently work at a large PD agency in CA as a CSO/Cadet, since 2021.

My challenges are these:
About $22k total credit card debt, with 6-7 late payments in 2025.

I had a semester long academic probation in community college in 2015, after that I got back into track and got my degree.

One speeding violation, 16mph over in a 40mph zone in 2016.

I really want to work at CHP since I love writing CHP 555 reports and traffic work at my current agency, but I am scared I will get DQ for the above reasons.
