New GTI Owner!
Worked a decent deal on a used MK8 manual with 20k miles. Picking up tomorrow and am very excited. Our family has had some GTIs/Golfs over the years and am excited to get my first “car” after daily driving trucks the last 15 years. Dad had GTIs in the 80s and my sister had a delightful ‘05 Golf I used to drive occasionally. In a perfect world, I would have bought one CPO but this is the right miles, good shape and a price I’m happy with. I believe there’s a dealer warranty or remainder of some of the factory warranty. I will do basic mods, but nothing too crazy as it’ll be my daily. Do you recommend I purchase an extended warranty when I do the paperwork tomorrow? Also looking to hear of some “under the radar” first basic mods to look into, short shifter, etc., etc. Have always been a GTI fan and am excited to finally have one!
