Are Southern Lights viewable approaching BNE overnight?

I will be flying QF16, departing LAX at 10pm and arriving Brisbane (BNE) around 5am. Per Google, it will be mostly nighttime outside for most of the flight. I know the odds of there being a strong aurora are a variable but we are coming into the time of year that makes it more of a possibility. I wonder...... IF there were a strong aurora, would someone in a window seat on the south-facing side of the plane potentially get an amazing view?

QF16 LAX to BNE seat selection

I usually book a window seat so I can lean and sleep without anyone ever climbing over me. Hubby gets the aisle seat. For this overnight 14 hr flight LAX to BNE, hubby talked me into taking the 51C and 51D seats, across the aisle from each other. I do wear good compression socks but I will still need to get up regularly to walk, or I'll have leg cramps.

Now, with 4 more days left, the seat map shows that no one has taken the window and middle (51A and B) next to me. I really would be more comfortable not on the aisle getting bumped by the cart or by people passing by.

I'm debating whether I should move from the D aisle seat to the A window seat. I really prefer it for sleeping. ***What is the likelihood that this flight will fill up completely so I end up with a stranger between us?
