Hey, everyone. I’m new to Neural DSP. I’ve downloaded a bunch of demos and have come up with this list:

Tim Henson
Cory Wong
Mateus Asato
Tone King Imperial MKII
Morgan

I do rock and pop and Latin rock. I’ll be using them to record.

So, do you think I’m covering my bases well with these? I won’t be doing much lead but will be doing a bunch of rhythm for sure.

I’m sometimes thinking that the Morgan and Tone King cover similar ground, maybe. Of those two (both of which I really like), the Tone King might be the one that could be covered by Morgan and maybe Mateus Asato? Again, I’ve only demoed them for a week, so maybe those of you who have used them for a long time might have a vastly different take on this.

What are your opinions on these plugins?

Thanks!

Hello, everyone. For a long while I’ve wanted a Gretsch electric. I’ve got an acoustic that I think is truly great and, of course, I’ve heard great things about their electric guitars. I still don’t know which model to buy but I want to get your take on, for example, if it should have a Bigsby or not. I don’t really play lead, but I do play a hell of a lot of rhythm. This guitar will be for home studio use only, not for playing live.

I’m starting a project in which I’ll be recording an enormous amount of my songs. I have different acoustics, a PSR with push pull pots, a Tele, and a Strat SSS. I play rock pop music and many of my songs I’ll be changing to a Latin pop rock sound (I live in Latin America).

So, what do you think? What could an electric Gretsch guitar add to my sound? What kind of pickups? Broadtron, P-90s, or others? Bigsby or no Bigsby? Intonation and tuning stability issues with those? Hollow, center-block, solid?

I can’t really spend more than maybe $800-$1000 because I’ve already invested a lot in this project. One thing I love about Gretsch is that there is a lot of quality in budget options.

I’m open to any and all opinions from those that actually know Gretsch, the players.

Thanks!
