I applied to loyola already, i even found 2 potential roommates. But the more i think about dorming, the more I feel like I shouldn’t. I REALLY want to for the experience, but i don’t think it’s worth it to be put in an extra $30k of debt. I know it seems selfish to even assume I wouldn’t but I only found out im paying for the entirety of my college tuition a month ago. I don’t live so far, just 30 minutes away, so im not sure what to do.

So I know once you commit there’s a lot of insta pages and connections to talk to people / find roommates. Do you find a lot of your friends primarily from that or people you meet once the year actually starts? I’m just not that great with talking to people online & it feels so awkard to me, although I’ve made acquaintances with a lot of people I’ll probably just do a random roomate selection too.
